Ao Nang Beach is the central point of Krabi, a few years ago this was still a tiny fishing community but in recent times it has grown into a major international travel destination.

It is one of the finest beaches of the world and is a scenic bay white sandy beach stretches to the foot of a prominent limestone range. The Ao Nang beach offers some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in the world - abundant marine life, sandy beaches, and great underwater visibility nearby.
The rock formations, coral reefs, limestone caves, white sands and clear waters of this beach does wonders in revitalizing the tired & much stressed travelers.
The seafood in Ao Nang is so fresh, that just a few hours before it was happily swimming in the Andaman sea!
Ao Nang takes pride in its atmosphere and all the locals assure us that this WILL NOT become the "new Phuket". This place is about 20 km W from Krabi, is a relaxing tourist destination.
Eating on the North Beach Road of Ao Nang Beach
Ao Nang is Krabi's most popular beach is breathtakingly beautiful with soft white sand fringed by towering limestone cliffs which form an impressive headland at the southern end of the beach.
Soi Sunset is one of the most popular eating areas especially during the evenings, which is alleyway at the end of the beach. Some restaurants have excellent view across the bay.
The Southern Thailand province is ready to give you a prompt answer with pushcart vendors to street side stalls and markets, as well as good variety of small eateries, outdoor cafes and fancy restaurants. Ao Nang with a good selection of around 50 eateries has by far the best selection of restaurants.
The excellent Thai food in terms of taste, price, and authenticity, is found somewhat away from the beach. The road leading towards Noppharat Beach (north) explodes with tourists and tastes when the sun goes down. A 100 meter walk from the beach is rewarded with a street lined with mobile (motorbike) kitchens.

The Krabi beach area has several restaurants where you will find all kinds of fish; juicy crabs and langoustines; shellfish, including giant oysters; as well as squid and lobsters. Recipes included here feature some of the most popular Thai dishes that grace the menus of any Thai restaurant - Kai Yang with Khao Niao and Som Tam, Satay, Kaeng Khiao Wan Nuea, Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetables, Khao Phat , and what not.
There are a number of motorbikes-turned-restaurants that are marvels of ingenuity - everything needed to cook up tasty noodles or pancakes is packed onto one self-contained, motorized kitchen. waiting customers can even expect some stools while their orders are ready to be served.
Tonsai Beach is known for its all-night shindigs, particularly during the tourist season. The bars on the eastern side of Railay beach are also worth a crawl.

The beachfront is the most desirable area for accommodation in the Ao Nang beach, a variety of hotels & resorts available in affordable prices & ranges. Other facilities include boats for rent, diving shops, and sightseeing. Normally tourists prefer to hire boats to visit other nearby attractions such as Sa Phranang, Tham Phra Nang and Hat Rai Lay located on the east of Ao Nang beach, which are ideal sites for snorkeling or scuba-diving and swimming. There are a number of excellent options in public transport system that meets your requirements to move around the nearby areas.
