A part of Thailand's eco tourism and adventure remains rock climbing. Khao Khanap Nam is famous for rock climbing which is located in the southern part of Krabi. The Khao Khanap Nam is very popular for two peaks which rise 100 meters above the Krabi River near Krabi Town. This structure is so beautiful that is visible from almost everywhere in the area and has become an icon representing Krabi. There are exotic stalagmites and stalactites. The Khao Khanap Nam is also famous for a large cave with prehistoric paintings. The site can be easily accessed by stairwells. The two peaks are separated by Maenam Krabi and the Khao Khanap Nam is located at the entrance to Krabi city. Another natural attraction of this place is a large number of human skeletons which have been found here. People say that these were the people who had come and established their dwellings at the Kanab Nam but they perished quickly because of the inundation.
Tourists do not need any admission fee in order to visit Khao Khanap Nam. People who are interested in excursion mostly combine the trip which consists of the local mangrove forests and the Koh Klang fishing village along with the Khao Khanap Nam on a boat which might cost about 300 baht per trip. People visiting this place can take a long-tail boat and reach the Khao Khanap Nam in just 15 minutes from Chao Fa Pier in Krabi. After the boat ride one has to climb the stairs to see the caves embedded with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.

It is an excellent beach with beautiful views of the Andaman Sea. Another hotel in the Khao Khanap Nam area is the resort located on Ao-Nang Beach and is called the The Golden Beach Resort. The Aonang Villa Resort and Rai Le Village Resort are other hotels in this Khao Khanap Nam locality. Thus Khao Khanap Nam is a beautiful location towards the southern part of Krabi.
