Krabi, the beautiful coastal province in Southern Thailand is an ideal holiday destination for any kind of traveller. Arrival in Krabi
Krabi International Airport is located at a distance of 15 kilometres from the heart of the town and is catered by many domestic and international airlines. One can also reach Krabi town using the bus services, available from Bangkok or Phuket. The distance between Krabi town and Bangkok can be covered in 12 hours. There is also a port situated three kilometres outside the town limits and ferries from Phi Phi Islands, Koh Lanta and Koh Jum cater to this port on a daily basis.
Holiday in Krabi
After arrival in Krabi spend a day or two exploring Krabi town. The heart of the Krabi town is full of small lanes with shops on either side. One can wander around the many streets and shops or spend time in the many roadside cafes or local markets. The night markets in Krabi town are a great place to meet the locals and experience authentic Thai dishes.
Visit the famous Tiger Cave Temple and Klong Thom hot springs, a natural hot-tub and do visit the nearby emerald pool, situated in Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve. Krabi town does not have a beach but is accessible to many beaches nearby. Spend time in Nopparat Thara Beach, a 3 kilometre long white sand beach.
Explore the natural reserve known as Thara Park, there are accommodation options available there to spend a day or two in absolute serenity. Spend a day going island hopping or fishing, one can even spend a day in a local fishing village to see the Thai way of life up and close. For adventure lovers, Krabi offers rock climbing and diving in exotic locales.
A week in Krabi will definitely be one of the most exotic vacations that Thailand has to offer.
