Krabi boasts of a varied Krabi culture
There are numerous festivals and traditions being celebrated in Krabi culture throughout the year. It is mainly because of the varied religions in Krabi that you have such interesting Krabi culture. The varied Krabi culture constitutes of the Songkran, a water splashing festival of Krabi, boat launching ceremonies by sea gypsies, the Chinese nine day vegetarian festival and the annual Muslim cultural fair conducted in Krabi town. In addition to all this, Krabi culture boasts of secular fun, food fairs, traveling markets and the Andaman Festival with many long tail boat races.
The Thai dance is an important part of Krabi culture
Most of the people of Krabi live on land. If you are interested in getting a glimpse of the countryside with traditional houses and temples and mosques, there is not much driving you have to do. You find large plantations of palm oil, coconuts, rubber and pineapples dominating the interior landscape of Krabi. This shows how much the economy of Krabi culture is dependant on agriculture.
