Can't find what you are looking for? Tell our Krabi experts in what you are interested in and we will add it to our Krabi Diving. The remarkable variety of dive sites that are concentrated in such a small area, particularly off Phi Phi Don Island, is what makes this area unique, as do the amazing limestone cliffs that rise dramatically out of the sea and plunge equally dramatically straight down underwater. Phi Phi IslandsWell known for their spell-binding natural beauty are the twin Phi Phi Islands, offering sheer cliffs rising up to the sky, blue sea and splendid beaches. Numerous diving points like the Bida Islands on the southern tip of Phi Phi Lee give magnificent in-views on the marine life of the Andaman Sea. Shark Point, Anemone Reef and the King Cruiser Wreck are a little too far for dive operators based in Krabi's Koh Lanta, however, they are easily reachable from Phi Phi Island and Ao Nang Beach. Krabi dive operatorsDive operators based on the Phi Phi Islands and Koh Lanta have better access to the great Southern Dive Sites of Koh Ha, Koh Rok, Hin Daeng and Hin Muang than their counterparts on Phuket. Krabi diving seasonScuba diving in Krabi runs all year round, but the best diving conditions exist from November to April. Late May to October brings monsoon winds and surface swells, reducing visibility at the dive sites in Ao Nang by about 20 per cent, but it is pretty rare that trips are cancelled due to bad weather. October also brings heavy rains to the Andaman Sea. From May to August, the weather is better in the Gulf of Thailand, so you might consider diving in Koh Samui.
