We had booked a row house but the room was not ready when we arrived so we were upgraded to a mountain view room. It was located on top floor and was fantastic as if we were staying in a tree house. It had lots of space for our luggage and staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed in a row house that was actually luxurious. It had a lot of space and was perfectly clean. Newly made, the room had proper amenities. Buffet breakfast was good too. We stayed for 6 days during which our kids had great time.

We had row houses that are supposed to be directly over the beach. The bed was of king size and very comfortable. Staff at the reception and in the restaurant are very helpful and pleasant. Location of the hotel is good.

We stayed at this resort late last year. I agree that the place could be modenised a bit but the location was great and the staff friendly. The bar at the pool was a bit under stocked and service a little slow.
When we were there we spoke to other people who had booked out of other hotels to come to the krabi resort they said it was far superior.

Krabi Resort hotel is quite old, opened in the 80's, but considering that it is in good condition.
There are also newer bungalows, but they are not directly on the beach.
The location is splendid, is the only hotel in Ao Nang which is directly on the beach. It's possible to get a bungalow directly at the sea!
Further the service is excellent, the staff very friendly and also the restaurant in the hotel is great!
So definitely very recommendable (if you are not looking for extremly luxurious rooms).
